Exciting new drone footage shows the extensive repairs underway on Lyttelton’s Sumner Road. 
 
The popular route for heavy traffic heading to and from the Port of Lyttelton has been closed since the earthquakes of 2011.
 
SCIRT’s Fulton Hogan delivery team has spent the last four years repairing several retaining walls on Sumner Road and this new footage shows an award winning innovative repair method in action.
 
A crane lifted work access platform housing a mobile drilling rig has been providing access for the crews to the hard to reach retaining wall while protecting the businesses below.
 
Fulton Hogan Project Manager Henry says the safety of the crew, residents and businesses below was a top priority for SCIRT.
