What we are doing

  • Downer, as a part of SCIRT, is repairing earthquake damaged, publicly owned retaining walls on Reserve Terrace in Lyttelton.
  • Repairs to the retaining walls are almost complete. For the past two weeks we have been installing drainage at the back of the newly installed retaining walls.

Stage 1 works

  • On Tuesday 29 November, for about two–four days, subject to favourable on-site and weather conditions, we will begin relaying the water main along Reserve Terrace. See Map 1 for location of works.
  • During this stage of works,vehicle access to properties 29B, 27, 23, 17, 16, 14, 13, 12, and 10 Reserve Terrace will be restricted.
  • Property number 49 Sumner Road will lose vehicle access on Tuesday 29 November for one day only.
  • A turning bay will be available at our site office on the Reserve Terrace and Sumner Road junction.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained for resident access only.
