Reserve Terrace, Lyttelton. Wastewater repairs.

What: Wastewater manhole and lateral repairs.

When: Starting within the week of Monday 20 February for about four weeks.

Where: Reserve Terrace, Watsons Lane and St Davids Street.


What we are doing

Downer, as a part of SCIRT, has been repairing the earthquake damaged, publically owned retaining walls, storm water and wastewater drainage on Reserve Terrace in Lyttelton.

In the beginning of January you may have received a work notice outlining our upcoming wastewater repairs.

This work was delayed and will now begin within the week of Monday 20 February and take about four weeks to complete, subject to favourable on-site and weather conditions.

We will be repairing two wastewater manholes and three wastewater laterals.

 

Traffic impacts

Reserve Terrace (49 Sumner Road - 31 Reserve Terrace)

  • Reserve Terrace will remain closed between property numbers 49 Sumner Road - 31 Reserve Terrace.
  • Residents only vehicle access will be available outside of work hours, 7:00am - 6:00pm. Entrance via Randolph Terrace only.
  • Please ensure that cars are parked outside of the worksite before work begins each day.
  • Pedestrian access to properties will be via the existing access routes in place.

Reserve Terrace (33 -  35 Reserve Terrace)

  • Reserve Terrace will remain closed to through traffic and pedestrians between 35 and 33 Reserve Terrace for the duration of these repairs.
  • Property access will be maintained.

St Davids Street

  • St Davids Street will be closed to through traffic and pedestrians between property numbers   29 - 31.
  • Property access will be maintained.

Watsons Lane

  • Watsons Lane will be closed between St Davids Street and Reserve Terrace for the duration of repairs.
  • The suggested detour route to the Town Centre is via Randolph Terrace and Stevensons Steep.
