What we are doing
McConnell Dowell as part of SCIRT has completed repairs to the earthquake damaged trunk main on Woodham Road.
Our crews who have been working inside the trunk main on Woodham Road have completed repairing the cracks inside the pipe and have demobilized their worksites.
From as early as Monday 20 February 2017, the roading crew will begin to prepare the surface of the three access pits in order to get the northern side of the road ready for final asphalt sealing. This is planned Thursday 23 February and Friday 24 February 2017. Resident vehicle access will be restricted on the north side of Woodham Road between 7am and 6pm between Rowcliffe Crescent and Kerrs Road.
Road marking will begin as early as Monday 27 February 2017.
Roading work to Kerrs Road roundabout will begin as early as Monday 20 February 2017. This should take about 3 weeks to complete.
All works are subject to good weather conditions.
Woodham Road will remain one-way east between Rowecliffe Crescent and Kerrs Road, opening to
two- way traffic on completion of these works in early March 2017. Resident access will be restricted at times between the hours of 7am and 6pm. There will be a dedicated traffic manager patrolling this area to assist in instances where access is required between these hours. There will be reduced on-street parking around the work area. Please be aware of changes to the regular traffic patterns, obey all traffic sings and drive to the conditions.
Please contact McConnell Dowell if you have any specific access requirements that we need to consider e.g, Nurse Maude, Meals on Wheels, or planned works on your property.
