Birchfield Ave, Gayhurst Road, Moyna Ave - Dallington - Wastewater *UPDATE*

Printer-friendly version

We are continuing to work on replacing the wastewater submain on Birchfield Avenue, Gayhurst Road and Moyna Avenue from Monday 9 January 2012 to the end of March 2012.

An update to this works notice was issued in March 2012.

A further update to this works notice was issued in April 2012.

Vehicle access update:

Due to the nature of the work we are unable to provide full vehicle access for all residents in Birchfield Avenue,Gayhurst Road and Moyna Avenue during the day. The line on the map below shows the location of works and road closures.

Residents will have restricted vehicular access during hours of work 7:00am-6:00pm.  Access will be provided after work hours as long as there can be safe passage through the work area. We would prefer residents to park their vehicles away from the work area so not to congest the access lanes.

If we are planning on blocking your access we will put notification in your letterbox the night prior. The notification will also suggest an appropriate location to park your vehicle.

Please contact us on the number below if you have any specific access requirements that we need to consider such as Nurse Maude, Meals on Wheels or other planned works on your property.

The work areas will be fenced and will be sequenced as follows:

1. Birchfield Avenue/Gayhurst Road intersection to 56 Birchfield Avenue, Birchfield Avenue/Gayhurst Road intersection to 162 Gayhurst Road.
2. Work sections will be moved south down Gayhurst Road towards Mcbratneys Road.
3. Work sections will be moved east down Birchfield Avenue towards Moyna Avenue.
The expected time frame for all the above works are from 9 January to 24 March 2012.

Moyna Avenue is expected to be re-opened by mid February 2012.

This work will take place during the hours of 7am to 6pm Monday to Saturday.

The work may result in noise, vibration and dust if there are dry weather conditions. All works are subject to favorable weather and on-site conditions.

The work will not impact on current water, power, sewer or gas services.

During the period of construction, we ask that you observe special cordons around construction areas for you and your family’s safety.

For any further information about this work, please contact the MacDow Fletcher Infrastructure Rebuild Team between the hours of 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday on free phone 0508 718 719. Any emergency calls made outside these hours will be diverted to a Site Engineer.

We will endeavor to keep any disruption to a minimum. We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience while we do this work.
