Hampshire Street - Aranui - partial road repair - Progress and traffic *Update*
The road repair work along part of Hampshire Street (between property number 2 and 33 Hampshire Street) has been underway since early October.
We have completed 30% of the work so far.
This notice is to advise you that the southern intersection of Lyndhurst Crescent, near Aldershot Street, will be closed off from Wednesday 26 October 2016 for about three weeks, for kerb renewal work. Residents will not be able to drive through this work area.
What are we currently doing?
We are busy with kerb and channel work and we plan to work within this intersection late next week.
Residents will not be able to enter or exit Lyndhurst Crescent at this southern intersection (please refer to Map 1).
Future traffic impacts
For stage two of the work, at the end of October (road surface and footpath repair work), we plan to have a temporary road closure in place along this part of Hampshire Street (between property number 2 and 33 Hampshire Street), for about four weeks. Resident vehicle access will be maintained outside our work hours. We will deliver an update notice before this work starts.
Supporting local businesses
Go the extra mile for businesses affected by rebuild roadworks.
We all know road works create challenges for businesses, as well as residents and road users but they are necessary in order for SCIRT to be able repair our earthquake damaged infrastructure.
You can help with the rebuild by going the extra mile to support local businesses. It may mean taking a longer detour; or walking to visit a store.
Please continue supporting your local Hampshire Street businesses.
Thanks | Kia Ora | Fa'afetai.
Fletcher Infrastructure, on behalf of SCIRT, would like to take this opportunity to thank residents, for your patience, support and cooperation while this work is underway in your neighbourhood.
